The status of the items is retrieved from database which includes the inventory levels for each of the retail items available to the user. In one embodiment, the database is linked to each retailer's database represented by database so that current inventory levels can be determined. The inventory levels can be updated in real-time, hourly, daily, etc.
The system next determines whether the user wants to remove one or more items from the list of items in the shopping cart block If so, the system proceeds to block where the customer selects the item s to be removed from the shopping cart.
